THOUSAND PRIESTS
That saying by one distinguished educator rings quite well
for Aned who just recently bestowed honor as the most outstanding faculty
during the recent commencement exercises in the school where she teaches.
The students at MiraCosta College considers her innate charm, public
relations and excellent educational background simply the best and worthy of
this coveted prize.
Aned of course was humbled by this award. It is simply the love of work, where one school teacher pours out her heart, time and life to make her students enjoy, learn and experience the education that they are given. The nobleness of one teacher lies not only in what she aspires for herself but also for the hundreds of students who have benefited from her dedication.
Congratulations Aned. May your tribe increase.
I am pleased to inform you that I was selected as this year's winner of the Associated Student Government's Outstanding Faculty Award at Mira Costa College.
This is a great honor which is made more significant by the fact that nominations were submitted by the students. Formal presentation of the award will be made during this Friday's commencement ceremonies.
But of course, it is always a pleasure teaching such a group of enthusiastic and dedicated students as I always seem to get in my evening courses at MiraCosta, where I have been teaching Italian since 2003.
