Apartment in Rio
during 2008 Carnival

This year I rented an apartment from a friend I met during my previous Carnival in 2005. From 2005 to present (2008 Carnival) he was in RIO, fell in love with the city and applied his real estate knowhow from New York.

He found a partner in Copacabana and both of them founded http://www.brazilworldwide.net a company that buy, sell, rent properties in Brazil. We always touch base since we met in 2005 and this time I have a chance to come back for another carnival so I gave it a try.

I'm happy with their services. His partner is very reliable and friendly. A week before I arrived, I called him from Canada and at the first conversation I know that this fellow is a nice person, no mistake.

The apartment I rented is located in Copacabana but at the other end. In 2005 I was staying just beside the HELP disco, this time I was staying in the opposite side, one street east of the Copacabana Palace between the 2 main Blvd the N.S. De Copacabana and R. Barata Ribeiro.

I have a few more square feet in this apartment but missing the beach view from my window. That does not bother me because I just need a like walk and I'm at the beach.

The rent this time is CA$886 for 7 days compared to US$1500 (Can $1,450 at press time) if I choose to rent from my same previous 2005 entrepreneur. Canadian and US dollars were close to par at that time when I prepaid via PayPal.
