You can take any bus
carrying Pao de Azucar signs or just
inform the driver which would otherwise
direct you to another bus that will drop
you at the front parking. In Rio,
everybody knows Pใo de A็๚car (Sugar
Bread) as the mountain looks like the
sugar bread that is being sold in that
location.

The ticket for the cable car is R$15.
There are two levels. The first lift
takes you to the first stop at about
220m (720ft) above sea level at the
summit of Morro da Urca where you can
find restaurants, souvenir shop. I have
my camera memory card burned into the
1st CD here to free the memories for the
next shots. It cost R$15. There is
a
helipad there for those who want to
take a ride to view the Rio landscapes
by air.
The second lift will
bring you to the Sugar Loaf at 750m
(2460 ft). There are also
restaurants and souvenir shops in the
final stop. Many belvederes offer you
breathtaking view of the beaches,
cities, mountains, bridge, airports,
harbor etc...

Climb halfway to the sky in a
cable car that brings you to the tops of the Sugar Loaf- the
towering Brazil-nut shaped mountains. Enjoy the spectacular
views of Copacabana, Niteroi, downtown Rio, Corcovado's Cristo
Redentor and the Guanabara Bay.
