Montreal Dominican Parade

August 15th, 2004

The Dominican Parade graces the streets of Montreal along Rachel Street during the middle of August.  You will witness the colorful costumes as the Latinos gyrate to the tune of Merengue.  Montreal is magically transformed as La Tierra del Merengue by the community of the Dominicanos here in this city.  This year's festivities will be capped by the performance of Oro Solid Band which will guarantee you a seat to an out- of- this- world musical entertainment.

Most tourists will find the Dominican Parade in Montreal just as captivating as the original one in the island with the participation of the Quebec citizens.  The food, the musica and costumes just literally let you fly.  This video clip will prove to you that the Merengue party is a sight to behold not only in Dominican Rep but also in Canada.  Be there at the start of the parade along Lafontaine Park winding its way to Rachel near the Mt. Royal east side.

Don't miss our interview with the Oro Sólido.
